Morwenna Collett, GAICD CF (she/her)

An accomplished leader, practitioner, consultant and facilitator with experience in government, the arts, not-for-profit and university sectors, Morwenna has worn the hats of CEO, Board Director, senior leadership team member, lecturer, researcher, trainer and advisor. Morwenna runs a national consultancy practice specialising in access, diversity, equity and inclusion. She has worked closely to support a range of large and small organisations to help them improve their practices,with recent consulting clients such as Creative Australia, Screen Australia, the Sydney Opera House, Taronga Zoo, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Questacon, the National Gallery of Australia, MCA, Blazing Swan Festival and more.
Morwenna is a member of the Festivals Board at Create NSW, Board Director of the Peggy Glanville Hicks Trust, Chair of both the Sydney Festival and Sydney Fringe Access Committees and member of the Perth Festival’s Access Committee. She is also an Affiliate of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA) and a member of The Inclusion Circle network. She has previously been CEO of Accessible Arts and held various senior leadership positions at The Australia Council for the Arts (now called Creative Australia). Morwenna completed a Churchill Fellowship, exploring inclusive music programs, venues and festivals which actively engage disabled people across the USA, UK and Ireland. Her work is influenced by her own lived experience as a disabled musician.
When she's not busy consulting, you can find Morwenna playing the flute or hanging out with her cheeky monkey child!

Gill Nicol, a leader in museum engagement, brings over 30 years' experience in contemporary art. Former Director of Audience Engagement at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, she now runs a consultancy supporting cultural sectors in Australia. Identifying as hard of hearing, Gill is an advocate for access and inclusion, and her approach is marked by care, empathy, and respect. When she's not working, you can find Gill tending with love her 100 yr old garden.

Frances is an accomplished Producer and Project Manager with experience at Tate Galleries, Biennale of Sydney, and Australia Council for the Arts. A passionate ally, her practice is driven by an unwavering commitment to fairness and societal equity, particularly for/with d/Deaf and disabled artists and leaders. She sees her role as a connector and space-creator and is dedicated to supporting the development of others. In her downtime, you can find Frances biking and brunching around the city with her dog, Toastie.

Irene has worked as a songwriter, teacher, and cultural advocate in Melbourne for the past five years. Through Irene’s personal experiences with disability, queerness, and cultural diaspora, Irene’s practice is driven by their passion and connection to marginalised communities and where they intersect. They've presented at Music Victoria, Arts Access Victoria, and Midsumma Festival, and contributed to a National Songwriting Program for disabled songwriters. Currently, Irene is developing "Protest Songs" to support social justice causes. You might also find Irene trying out a new textile artform, out on a jog, or plugged into a video game.

Gillian has more than 20 years of experience as a Social and Media Research & Insights Leader, helping shape brand and content strategies for increased audience engagement. At the ABC, she managed insights for iconic media brands, employing effective communication of complex data to influence decision-making. A member of The Research Society, Gillian is well-versed in conducting research projects and designing data management strategies to support organisation to embed a culture of diversity, access, and inclusion. When she's not deep in a research project, you can find Gillian enjoying cultural events, reading books, and exploring new parts of Australia on long walks.

Mallika has worked in the community development, arts management, disability and health services her entire career. For nearly a decade, she led the largest NDIS provider of arts services, supporting over 600 artists annually. She specialises in supporting people to access the NDIS and incorporate their arts practice into their plans. Mallika's favourite job has been aunty, spending time with her niece and helping to raise a future leader is a privilege.

Alex Craig is a dancer, performance maker and access consultant. Informed by their lived experience as a Blind and Queer person, Alex’s work centres collaboration and inclusivity. They utilise audio description, sound, touch and conversation to develop and share ways that people with low vision can equitably witness and engage in art; particularly in dance and movement. They have worked with MCA Sydney, Midsumma, Critical Path, Performance Space and Sydney Opera House; are on the access and inclusion advisory panel at Sydney Fringe and Sydney Festival; and were recently selected for the 2024/2 5Creative Australia Creative Leadership program.

As a researcher and writer, Dan is particularly interested in the ethical and conceptual questions raised by issues of access and inclusion in relation to d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists. Dan is a small 'd' deaf musician, songwriter and performer, and was a founding member of the rock group Leader Cheetah. His new project, Reality Instructors, explores music creation while being almost totally deaf. In 2019, Dan underwent cochlear implant surgery and is now exploring the musical possibilities that such technology might afford. In his spare time, you might find Dan strolling through Ashfield with his Partner and son, swimming in Ashfield pool, and wherever there are books.
