About Me  She/Her

Everyone should have equal opportunities to access and participate in the arts. The arts and cultural sectors should reflect and represent our diverse society. These are the values underpinning my personal and professional goals and my work as an arts consultant, specialising in diversity, access and inclusion.

I have previously held senior leadership roles at Accessible Arts (CEO) and the Australia Council for the Arts (various positions in the areas of music, performing arts, business development, project management, risk management).

Background

Based in Sydney, I am an accomplished consultant, leader and facilitator with direct professional experience of working in the arts, government, not for profit and university sectors as a CEO, senior manager, project manager, lecturer, trainer and advisor.

I am particularly passionate about increasing accessibility within the music industry and recently completed a Churchill Fellowship, investigating inclusive music programs, venues and festivals which actively engage disabled people across the USA, UK and Ireland. My full report and report summary are both available here.

My work is informed by my own lived experience as a musician with disability and I am sought after nationally and internationally for my expertise in diversity, access and inclusion. I am currently a member of disability and inclusion committees for the Sydney Festival, Perth Festival and City of Sydney and am a trainer with People With Disability Australia and Accessible Arts.  I am also an Affiliate of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia.

As a senior consultant, I have helped transform approaches to diversity, access and inclusion for a wide range of organisations. I have made an impact working on projects such as the creation of Strategic Plans, Disability Action Plans, evaluation/research/impact projects, delivering Disability Inclusion Training and increasing Board diversity. A list of previous clients is available here.

I have previously held senior leadership roles at Accessible Arts (CEO), the Australia Council for the Arts (various positions in the areas of music, performing arts, business development, project management, risk management). I am a casual lecturer at the Sydney Conservatorium at the University of Sydney and am regularly called upon by various other tertiary institutions across the country for guest lecturing appointments.

My CV and Consulting Capability Statement are available on request and you can see more about me on LinkedIn here.
